Coal Gasification

With world’s 4^th largest Coal reserves, India has an opportunity to ensure its energy security, reduce crude dependence, substitute imports by enabling a Coal Gasification based eco-system.

India’s objective of 100 MT coal gasification by 2030 is one of the most significant energy transition mandates globally. The recent approval of a ₹37,500 crore sovereign incentive framework, alongside 30-year coal linkage guarantees, has successfully provided the required policy push.

The Coal Gasification Forum (CGF) is an ecosystem enabler to bridge the "Valley of Death" between concept and commissioning. CGF aims to brings together project developers, technology providers, policymakers, investors, researchers and other stakeholders to accelerate India’s coal gasification ecosystem. CGF enables technology matchmaking, project diligence, offtake facilitation and access to financing and in process helping projects progress faster towards Financial Closure and execution.
